Case study

We rebuilt Printinal’s website in Next.js, pulled its entire catalogue in from three supplier APIs, and built the business a complete ERP — from the first quote to the courier collecting the order.

The brief

The challenge

Printinal sells corporate clothing, gifts and branded displays drawn from several suppliers, each with thousands of products, its own codes and its own stock levels. Keeping a catalogue that size current by hand is not realistic.

Behind the website, the business ran on the usual patchwork: quotes in one place, orders in another, artwork approvals by email, purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes assembled by hand, and courier costs looked up each time a customer asked what delivery would cost.

The solution

What we built

A new website on top of the suppliers’ live data, and the system the business runs on underneath it.

  1. 01

    A new website in Next.js

We rebuilt the website from scratch in Next.js — fast pages, built for browsing a very large catalogue on a phone as easily as on a desktop.

  2. 02

    Three supplier APIs, 7,000+ products

We connected three supplier APIs so the full catalogue — over seven thousand products, with their details and images — publishes and updates itself.

  3. 03

    Heavily optimised for search

A catalogue that size is only worth having if people find it. We structured and optimised the site so its product and category pages compete in search.

  4. 04

    A custom ERP, white-labelled

We built the business its own ERP from scratch, in its own branding: a quote builder, the order flow that follows it, artwork approval, purchase order generation, invoicing and delivery notes — one system instead of six.

  5. 05

Courier quoting and booking built in

We integrated The Courier Guy directly into the quote builder: courier fees are quoted automatically as a quote is put together, and the shipment is booked from the same system once the order is ready for dispatch.

Outcomes

The result

  • Over 7,000 products live on the website, updating themselves from three supplier APIs
  • A catalogue built to be found in search, page by page
  • Quotes, orders, artwork approval, purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes in one system
  • Courier costs quoted inside the quote builder, with no separate lookup
  • Shipments booked from the same screen once an order is ready
  • A system that carries the business’s own branding, built around how it actually sells
